What is ultra wideband broadband

The ultra wideband technology is simply a technology which uses a large bandwidth amount which exceeds the speed of 100 mbit per second. It normally refers to a kind of wireless technology but it can also be used to refer to cabled or wired form of communication.

The technology makes use of short duration pulses which lasts from a trillionth of a second to billionth of a second. The wave which results because of this has a broad band and it can be used for transmitting great amount of information.

These systems also make use of very less power which makes them practical for using in smaller devices like PDAs and in cell phones which individuals carry at all times.

Also, since ultra wideband uses low power, it also does not have any impact on the other systems. It causes very less interference with the other waves. The wide spectrum that ultra wideband uses, also minimizes the impact of the interference from the other systems.
