T-Mobile is based out of Bonn in Germany and is one of the largest wireless service providers in the US and also in the world. Globally, T-Mobile has more than 100 million subscribers and the number is continuously growing. 

T-Mobile was the first ever company to provide its services throughout Europe and the US.

T-Mobile currently provides a range of wireless plans and Wi-Fi hotspot services to their subscribers. The main benefit of using T-mobile’s Wi-Fi hotspot services is that if you have a phone contract, you can get huge benefits in terms of the costs without any annual commitment.

However, the biggest drawback is the large cancellation fee of $200 which is applicable. There is no flat fee offered for roaming or any deals on the international packages which is also a drawback. There are only 8900 hotspots in the US except for which roaming charges are applicable on all.

T-Mobile Hotspot Wi-Fi plans

There are several different plans provided by T-Mobile for their Wi-Fi services. The Unlimited plan is available to the current mobile subscribers at a cost of $9.99/month and the customers who have mobile devices which are Wi-Fi enabled can also add Wi-Fi unlimited to their devices at a cost of just $4.99/month.

Non subscribers also have a few choices. The unlimited national plan costs $19.99/month for unlimited usage with a one year contract. There is a month to month usage plan which costs $29.99/month for unlimited access and no contract.

The per day service would cost $5.99/day and provides unlimited access. The pay as you go plan costs $2.99 for 60 minutes.

Subscribers can contact the customer service of T-Mobile through email or through their toll free number for information on their Wi-Fi services.

Contract and payment options

Users can choose from a 1 year contract or a monthly plan for the Wi-Fi services. There is no credit check and the payments can be done through credit card, debit card, electronic transfer or directly at any T-Mobile stores. All of plans offered by T-mobile offer unlimited access to their hotspot locations in the US.

Fees and charges

Subscribers do not have to pay any activation fees for signing up for the Wi-Fi services. However, the cancellation charges are at $200 or the remaining monthly charges for the term, whichever is less.

 There is a roaming charge applicable for using the partner’s hotspots. The roaming charges would vary depending on the location but could be anywhere from $0.07/minute to $0.18/minute.
