What smart phones have an independent GPS?

I am looking for any smart phone that has a built in GPS that enables the phone to work as a car navigation system without relaying on the any network but the satellite.
REPEAT:
I don't want to relay on a phone company plan. I want the phone to work just like GARMIN, Tom Tom, etc.. Do you buy a phone plan for your car navigation system!

i have bought the iphone 3gs latley,
you can go on the gps without satillite help for free
when ever yu connect to the internet at home with it, it will update the roads to make sure that you have a recent version!
