i have a blackberry and its $50/ mon which i think is good i get unlimtd text 500mb web surfing and 200 mins
Loving the hat! I have been waiting for this to process! It took a long time! I have the Verizon eNV3 with keyboard so it makes it easy for texting. I love my phone. As for mobil internet I have that little Verizon doodad that you just plug into your laptop wherever you are. It’s only 49.99 a month. My nephew has the Droid.
I have the iPhone and I love it. Although it is AT&T, I still love it. Dig your hat.
hey burt i had just purchased a smart phone yesterday infact it was a droid by motorola there are two droids the motorola and druid eris i believe. if your going to spend the money you right on buying the motorola version. as of my playing with the phone i can tell you a couple of things. for one its web browser is amazing and two that there are a ton of nice features such as it can be a flashlight, leveler and gps so in my opinion you should deffinetly spend the money on the phone its worth it
iPhone? There’s been talk today about releasing a version of the iPhone that works with Verizon. No extra charges for internet excess. But it’s all a money suck… and for what? Consider an iPad…
One word —- iPhone——-
The ipad is a little large to carry around in my pocket. I might could hang it around my neck like an Alcatraz.
@burtoncharlessmith You’ll have to get a spiffy bejeweled case that glitters so that everyone in the coffee house will notice you when you pull out the new iPad marvel. Chicks will dig it!
I would want the IMaxi case to protect my iPad. Have you heard of it? Google imaxi if you haven’t.
@burtoncharlessmith I had a vision and my vision said to me… it’s that time of the month for your iPad!
The main problem here is Tracfone’s selection on phones is p*ss poor and they are proprietary, so you can’t hack/unlock a regular phone to use on their network.
I have that same cheapo Tracfone — a Motorola V170. It does all I need and it’s small and has good battery life, so I like it.
We have that exact same tracfone!!!
it would be a waiste of money for me.but you probally would love it the iphone i got for christmas I gave away
you need some bells on that hat. easter is comming up cant wait for the bonnet
Hey Burton, I remember you and your wife bought each other I-Touches. you can install SKYPE and make very cheap phone calls using your I-Touch,,I have been using mine for over a month including many long distance calls from Orlando to Toronto and it has cost be next to nothing. Just a thought, if you are going to buy a smart phone, I recomend a iphone, i love mine.
Dont waste the money/////////////////
Burt
You are home all the time, do you really need it???
Burton, I would stay with your trac-phone and get yourself a cheap laptop, like a 10″ screen ($200`$300) to do your internet.
The more “junk” that you have on one phone, the more that can go wrong.
Besides any phone that can do the internet can be subjected to a virus.
What if your smart phone craps out or gets a virus and you needed to make an important call?
At lease with a laptop you have anti-virus software to protect you.
I use a Simple Motorola V3 phone, no bells and whistles.
I just renewed my contract for 2 more years with Sprint / Nextell. I just use their cheapest basic phone (Motorola I335) and that’s all I need. Cost about $46 a month. I had Trac phone when I first got a cell phone and was very happy with it.
If I want to surf the internet on the go, I take my little netbook computer. Pull into any McDonalds and you have free WiFi.
i just stick to the basic stuff im the same in real life im virtually blind and have trouble seeing the small screens.
Those smart phones sound like a major rip off cost wise and waste of time to use. They try to do everything but do nothing very well. Better to use separate devices like a pda or netbook for internet and a proper camera.
