The Samsung Rogue is a bit bulky, but it is worth it based on what it holds inside. This touch-screen phone contains a beautiful display and a QWERTY keyboard ideal for messaging. Features like GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities add to the experience. The call quality on this phone is good, but the quality of the streaming video is rather poor. That aside, this is a great multimedia messaging phone available online for a reasonable price.
The Rogue is a slide phone that contains both a touch screen and full keyboard. The touch screen is intuitive and very easy to use. The AMOLED display is a whopping 3.1 inches and it is vibrant and clear. In addition to the spacious physical QWERTY keyboard with separate keys for numbers and letters, the Rogue includes both virtual number and letter keypads.
The features include in the Rogue are many and they are all great. Speakerphone, sketch pad, GPS, Bluetooth, multiple messaging features, and music and video players are just a few. A 3.2mm headset jack makes listening to uploaded songs a great experience. The 3-megapixel camera has a self-portrait mirror, camcorder, and flash LED. The camera has eight resolutions, auto focus, various shooting modes and settings, and a 10x digital zoom. Camera image and video quality are both great.
EV-DO Rev. A comes on the Rogue, which greatly benefits the full HTML Web browser. This phone will support the TouchWiz interface from Samsung, providing users with access to a huge amount of widgets, including those of the social media variety. Call quality is excellent but though streaming video has a short buffering time, the quality of the videos seem blurry and pixelated.
The Samsung Rogue packs many features into its slide phone shell. These include GPS, Bluetooth, an excellent camera and video recorder, music and video players, and multiple messaging options. The large display with touch screen and both virtual and physical QWERTY keyboards make this phone even better. The only shortcoming of the Rogue is its poor quality of streaming video. Users who can live with that should definitely take a closer look at this phone. Note that though the Rogue is not a smartphone, it may require a data plan, depending on the carrier selected.
