MOG is the currently hottest item on the online music scene nowadays. Just late last year, MOG opened its library of music that contains a whopping seven million different tracks and the subscription cost is a cheap five dollars per month but if you are a mobile gadget user, the fee is ten dollars a month but it includes unlimited mobile usage.
Recently, MOG music service will be accessible for the iPhone, iPod touch, and other Android devices since it just launched its mobile app specific to these three gadgets. The iPhone and iPod touch apps can now be seen and downloaded on the app store but on the other hand, the apps for Android powered phones cannot be seen yet on the Android market. They better show it soon because other than the giant song playlist that MOG has in store for its subscribers, it offers albums and radio stations and the capability of the subscriber to download songs and listen to it offline in 320 kbps class.
The MOG iPhone compatibility is just awesome, the features are just tremendously amazing and it is so easy to use. It is as if the MOG is already an innate part of the Apple family of gadgets. The controls are easy to use and very uncomplicated to steer. The sound quality is decent and toggling from one album to another is as easy as pie, no difficulty at all. Hence, to compile your won playlist would take the most minimal time possible unless otherwise you are erratic in your choices.
The only setback in the MOG apps is that while it can support the new iOS 4, it is not that versatile because it does not have the multitasking capabilities of other music provider such as Pandora and Rdio. And at the same time, MOG is not compatible with the iOS 4 playback widget which is quite a pity since the others match the said widget.
In connection with this, US music gadget enthusiasts are awaiting the invasion of the European streaming music giant Spotify. And since Spotify has not American shores, other music streaming companies have shared the limelight with MOG and one of which is Rdio, a quite new company from the founders of Skype. Though still in beta form, Rdio is making waves in the airwaves of the online music scene and at this early, it already has an iPhone app ready for download. What sets these music services apart is that they allow streaming of playlist and on-demand listening of specific music albums. However, considering the freedom of choice of the music you want to hear when you want to hear it will cost subscribers ten dollars per month. The price is actually not that high but there are people who would love the service cannot juust afford shelling out ten dollars each month.
