When sitting in the RV at the camp site, there are only so many card games that can be played before boredom sets in. Children have their portable gaming devices to keep them occupied, but adults are sometimes at a disadvantage when it comes to entertainment. Mobile systems include the DataStorm G74 and DataStorm F3 satellite dishes. These will provide users with mobile Internet access in even the most remote locations of the desert and mountains.

The satellite is mounted on the top of the RV and is rather compact, with the G74 measuring 48 inches tall when deployed and under 10.5 inches when stowed. When the vehicle is parked, users press a button to deploy the dish and get online within approximately 7 inches. If they begin to drive away without first stowing the dish, it will automatically stow itself.

The download speeds average 400-600k and upload speeds average 30-52k. Access is available from any location in the continental United States and most of the central locations of Canada and Mexico. The company also offers an ultra-portable system at a cost of $3,000 that provides a mobile broadband connection from any location on the planet. The connection device is about the size of a standard laptop and can be used by either an individual or a small team. The Inmarsat BGAN network is used to provide Internet speeds up to 492 kbps. The system allows for video or audio streaming up to 256 kbps and also provides the ability to make telephone calls.
