Insurance salesmen are infamous for their tenacity, doggedness, and persistence. Some of the richest folks in your neighborhood would have been or are currently life insurance sales people, you can be assured of that. They are the toughest bunch of sales people in the world, and how can you not be if your job entails convincing people to buy a piece of paper that will not benefit them at all but will profit those they will be leaving behind. And of course death is such a morbid topic.
Now insurance has found a new channel of pushing its wares and that is through the iPhone app for quotations on comprehensive life insurances. And this has been made possible by the Australian software vendor Omnium. Now this app provides the gadget user the comfort and the speed of getting the latest quotes on premiums or payments on more than ten major life insurance firms in seconds. This eliminates the time-consuming sit-down appointments with life insurance specialists which would end up just the same, you choosing which you think is best. And if you want to know the sales pitch of all twelve major life insurance companies, you have to make appointments with all of them. Imagine the amount of time one saves in having this app on his or her iPhone.
This feature can easily be had if you have an iPhone by just simply downloading the app on iTunes or in the app store using your handset. In seconds, you will be able to scrutinize all the quotations of these life insurance outfits. Says Omnium founder David King, mobile apps are “beginning to shape the way people consume, we thought it was necessary to use the online products we have already developed for the industry into an iPhone app.” And the magnitude of mobile phones and other gadgets users have led David King to decide to target the mobile phone market instead of going for the wider online demographics.
Though not equipped with indemnity advice and professional suggestions, the app is a complete tool enough to be used by brokers and the end users in determining the best insurance product for them. Some of the major life insurance companies on the list include GIO, Axa Life, and AMP.
Humana and MassMutual, two of the life insurers on the iPhone list created a new approach of boosting acknowledgment of their life insurance products by launching games on the iPhone. The two companies hired game developers into coming up with apps that will coalesce basic edification on life insurance and entertainment such as games. Humana has already launched a game that educates users on things about health and the game is titled Colorfall.
