With is 1.66 GHz Intel Atom processor, spacious touch pad, and good battery life, the Toshiba Mini is a good choice for Netbook mobile Internet laptops in the $300 price range. The only problem with the battery is that it is bulky, causing it to stick out from the device. Aside from that and the less than dynamic audio quality of this Netbook, there really is nothing bad to say.
The Toshiba Mini mobile broadband laptop has 1 GB of RAM and a 160 GB Serial ATA 5,400-rpm hard drive. An Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz processor provides the Toshiba Mini with enough power to surf the Web, check emails, do some multimedia activities, and perform basic document work. The large mouse buttons and touch pad are just about the best available on a Netbook. The design of this laptop is flat with rounded corners, lending it a sophisticated appearance. This is marred only by the large battery that protrudes from the back of the device.
A raised keyboard with separated keys provides an experience similar to working on a regular sized laptop. The wide screen display measures 10 inches and has a standard Netbook resolution. The device has three USB ports, one of which provides charging for a USB device even when the laptop is off. Missing are Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi, but instead included is mobile broadband 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi.

The single speaker is located underneath the device and provides poor sound, even with the volume maximized. On a more positive note, the six-cell battery lasts for approximately 6 ½ hours. It should, with the amount of space it occupies in the rear of this computer.
The Toshiba Mini includes a nice processor, 160 GB hard drive, and 1 GB RAM for approximately $300. For that price, users get a 10-inch wide screen display, 802-11 b/g wireless Internet, along with a nice sized touch pad, and mouse buttons. They do not get Bluetooth and they have to deal with poor audio quality as well as a huge battery hanging off the back of their computers. If they can see past these drawbacks, they can get a bargain by purchasing this Netbook.
