As we head into the holiday season, smartphone reviews are being released on a daily basis. Smartphone comparisons seem to be conducted before the devices even hit the shelves. This creates quite a dilemma for consumers because they are afraid to make a purchase, for fear that a better device will be released. The Nokia X3 Touch and Type is a smartphone that was recently released and has some great features.
The Nokia X3 features a compact design, touch screen, and a 5-megapizel camera. It is offered as an unlocked phone primarily designed for making calls or sending texts. The unlocked price of $170 gives you Bluetooth, 3G, a multimedia player, FM radio, and Wi-Fi support. Though this is one of the entry-level smartphones, it manages to include a lot of features in a compact design with a low unlocked phone price tag.
This is one of the smallest smartphones released in a while and it is thin and light. It has a candy bar style and includes a 2.4-inch diagonal touch screen, which is kind of small, but features easy resistive touch screen navigation. The keypad is of the physical 12-button alphanumeric variety and the phone features predictive text to aid in typing.
A microSD expansion slot and 3.5mm headphone jack are included on the top of the phone. Users get support for various email clients and the Nokia Messaging app enables folder creation. Twitter and Facebook social networking clients are also included. The Bluetooth 2.1 feature supports both stereo and mono headsets.
The Nokia X3 is 3G capable, enabling it to work on the AT&T Wireless 3G network. A neat aspect of this smartphone is that it can be charged through either its Micro-USB port or the provided Nokia power connector. It has some great features, good call quality, an outstanding speakerphone, and performs fairly quickly.
