Mobile internet has emerged as the leading communication and information dispersal this decade. With this advancement comes the most important tool in engaging the income-generating consumers – mobile advertisements. And the response is outrageous because when you do mobile advertising, your reach goes beyond the area of coverage for the provider you paid to. Why is that? Mobile internet users come form everywhere and they go everywhere and that is the main reason why they utilize mobile technology, because they are always on the go. And mobile advertisers realize the magnitude of what they invest in.
Great Britain outranks Japan, a country highly revered as a high tech hub, in terms of the most number of mobile consumer advertisements, according to the mobile analytics company Admob. Understandably, the country at the top position is the Unites States and is seconded by the massively populated India. And another densely-peopled country which is China sits on the third spot. Now what makes the United Kingdom stand out as the odd man out on this list is that the first three countries have huge numbers of inhabitants. This only means that the United Kingdom consumes more in mobile advertising than the common Indian, American, or Chinese, maybe even triple.
Admob is interestingly a new Google acquisition and is the biggest service provider for the global advertising market. The statistics it puts out makes available information on the routines and practices of the consumer and the common trends in market movements.
In its recent reports, Admob tells that the iPhone is still the leading consumer for advertising getting a huge forty percent of all the ads given to smartphones. However, the iPhone is surrounded by Android phones and seven out of ten smartphones are Androids. On the Android phone list, Motorola’s Droid is still perched on the top spot. The only other manufacturer on the list is Samsung’s Moment. Apple’s exclusivity marketing once again is trying to monopolize the mobile advertising industry by trying to outmuscle everybody else with its ad software and they are leading the way currently because the ads being served by Admob are generally received through downloaded applications. Now the mobile advertising presence of the iPhone is poised to shoot upwards now that the new iPhone 4 is out with its highly touted operating software the Apple OS4 so the Androids are beefing up their army and will most likely come up with their own.
