The LG Incite CT810 smartphone is loaded with features like a touch screen, Windows and Office Mobile, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, HSDPA, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3-megapixel camera. However, the design of LG’s initial U.S. smartphone is less than perfect because it does not include a built in stylus and the surface is too reflective. In addition, the phone performs rather slowly and the touch interface is not the best. In the scheme of things, these are small issues and the overall impression is that this is a phone worth purchasing.
The Incite can be purchased unlocked from several online retailers. It has a very shiny mirrored finish handset with a display that appears reflective when the phone is not in use. The front of the phone has a 3-inch diagonal touch screen that has vibrant and sharp colors. A drawback to the general reflective characteristic of the display is that it is difficult to read when in direct sunlight. The call quality on the phone is great when the handset is used, but just good when using the speakerphone.
Though the technology of the resistive touch screen with vibrating feedback is great, there is sometimes a brief lag between touch and response. Users also must be very precise when touching in order to prevent tapping the wrong item. The included stylus that can help with this is not attached to the phone and must be tethered to the device via a lanyard. The phone has a nice sized, responsive virtual QWERTY keyboard available in landscape mode. However, the keyboard consumes most of the display, so it is difficult to view what is actually being typed.
Due to the inclusion of Windows Mobile 6.1, there are many business-oriented productivity features such as support for ActiveSync and access to Microsoft Office Mobile Suite. The combination of Wi-Fi and HSDPA means that users will never suffer from a lost connection. Various Bluetooth profiles are supported and the phone even includes GPS and 3G support. Windows Media Player 10 and an FM radio receiver provide a great listening experience for music fans. The 3-megapixel camera and camcorder shoot in several resolutions and have different editing options. Even with 3 megapixels to work with, the quality of photos is very poor and is characterized by a dull, overcast appearance. The camera also does not have autofocus or flash.

The LG Incite CT810 is a feature-packed touch screen smartphone that can be purchased online. Despite its overly reflective appearance that can cause viewing issues in direct sunlight and the phone’s sometimes slow-responding display, the Incite is a recommended purchase. Highlights include Bluetooth, GPS, large vibrant screen, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, Windows Mobile 6.1, and support for both 3G and GPS.
