What is the best way to hear music in your car from an iPhone?
Does anyone use the iTrip with the iPhone or know the names of the products that make it easy? The CD player in my car mp3 isn't ready to im wondering what would be the best way. I wire it all up for playing them or should I get the ITrip FM Transmitter. thanks!
If you have a CD player, aftermarket, you can probaby buy one of two options to solve your problem. The first is simply a cable that plugs into the back of the CD player and the headphone jack on the iPhone / iPod. This allows you to change songs as you normally would through the iPhone. The second option (which I personally use and recommend) is slightly more expensive. It is the same as the first except it's a small computer processor involved. My CD player has a built in him, while the previous CD player was not. I had to buy a "box" that had a cable that goes from that CD player and one for the iPod. This connects to the iPod at the bottom tothe serial port and lets you control the iPod from the front of the CD player and upload iPod simultaneously. If you have a CD player older aftermarket, the first option is probably the only one for you. You may want to acquire a car charger for the iPhone, if you go this route. iTrip is absolute trash. It is simply a radio transmitter that does not work if you live in an area that has a high number radio station. (IE Indianapolis of all places) By running a cable from the back of the CD player to the iPod, sound quality will be exactly what you're used to hearing through the headphones, not a degraded version of its music radio.
