There now evolves word on the possibility of a new Apple iPad which will be unveiled in the second quarter of 2011. This is said to be thinner with its 9.7 inch unit. Of course several people would like to speculate on this word believing it to be more false than true.
There is no denying of the fact that even statistics support that Apple’s iPad is one of the world’s most successful tablets ever – selling like hotcakes even upon its unveiling. Sales of Apple iPad is seen to have reached more than 3 million units. And this goes on until now as we speak. With a hit like this one, who could not think about creating and launching a successor, right? For Apple to think of this new thinner version to launch next year, surely anyone would agree that it makes perfect sense.
Bloomberg quotes Goldman Sachs analysts to declare that the possible second-generation iPad may still possess the same 9.7 inch display – as in the first model. What would actually make a difference is that Apple intends to make this new Apple tablet to be thinner and definitely lighter. With this change, users who still find it inconvenient to be carrying around the existing iPad (with its weight that already seems unnoticed as it is now) would definitely fancy this new tablet. The said future second-generation iPad will feature a mini USB port and a camera.
Words have it that should plans of the new thinner and lighter Apple iPad push through it will still be most likely manufactured by Foxconn or also known as Hon Hai Precision. There seem to be very little or no issue when it comes to this matter or concern.
As the “rumored 7 inch iPad” may come into the phase of its creation, analysts believe that this then will qualify to compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Blackberry PlayBook. Of course it still remains a mere speculation as no further talks on its “finalization” has actually come out. Words would remain simply tittle-tattle until it comes to full view of the market and its potential buyers.
What analysts have to say has always been no more than mere predictions for the public although there have been several ones that has come true. But until then, the rumored Apple iPad remains no more than a fictitious Apple tablet for the Apple iPad second generation.
