is the new ipad just like a laptop or no?

because i dont know if i want to buy a laptop or an ipad. if the ipads just like a computer or laptop then i would want the ipad

No, the iPad is not at all like a laptop. Basically, it is like a big iPod touch. You can still write documents on it though.

The iPad is basically a bigger iPhone or iPod Touch.

The iPad is not a laptop, not even close. It was designed to be a device even more portable than a laptop, but used for media (watching movies for instance), not productivity.

Its more like a big iPhone that doesn’t call and optional 3G connectivity..
