The truth of the matter is the apps are what’s making the iPad a commodity in the computer market. But even with the more than three million iPads sold to date (statistically the best selling tablet ever), the iPad on its own would be a source of frustration if it were business work that you want to use the iPad for.
Its basic tools are crude compared to its counterparts like the smartphone. The word processor is undeveloped; the calendar and contacts folder are poorly made, and other functions of the device are not as efficient as those from other devices.
• Realizing this, Apple had made it available in the App Store practical and functional apps developed specifically for businessmen to make their work easier and more efficient. The first of these apps is the Apple Pages app which allows the user unequaled flexibility in his document composing tasks. It includes sixteen templates and an amazing graph maker.
• The Apple Numbers app lets the users toggle with worksheets like a pro. The iPad screen can hold five active worksheets which you can turn into charts or graphs at the swipe of a finger.
• The Keynote app gives users the edge in giving out of the office presentations. Additional features like editing allows the presenter to make the necessary adjustments to a file while on the way to the meeting.
• For adaptability especially if you have documents in a totally different format such as Word and Excel, the Office HD app could handle documents in so many possible formats.
• For the corporate worker who has to access and work on office data while on the road, the Roambi Pro app would be very helpful. Though a bit complicated, the Roambi Pro app can help you with simple analytic work employing eight diverse graphs.
• Strangely, the iPad does not have a print button, hence, the Fax Print and Share Pro app specifically designed for the iPad. Nothing fancy, it is just a simple one on one printing program.
• Remember the internal iPad calendar. Well, the answer to that is the Pocket Informant app for iPad. It is like a mother nagging at you to do your tasks.
