Spurred by the ease and comfort of browsing provided by the iPad, some patent movements may point towards the future iMac that may just include an internal iPad. Discovering some filing of patents on the third quarter of 2009 and made public on the first month of this year explaining an iMac touch-like device that can function as a standard computer and an iPad when one feels like using the gadget that way, alternating the orientation based on the whim of the user.
The patent file description works like this: the computer when in the regular upright position is controlled using the regular keyboard and mouse but when reclined sets off a multi-touch mode and automatically toggles the operating system from Mac OS X to iOS in a second. Aside from this amazing seamless transition of operating systems, the patent details also tell of an internal process that would allow control of an iPad or an iPhone from the intended iMac touch.
Being able to switch from one OS to another in an almost flawless manner is already astoundingly remarkable if it is applied on a desktop but to also work on a notebook is just simply extraordinary. The best of two totally different gadgets all rolled into one device and you having the opportunity to use one would be just awesome.
You would be surprised that a number of the details on these parents go as far back as the year 2007 which means as far as back then, some people were already thinking way ahead and concocting plans of revolutionizing what is already high tech. it only means that Apple’s research and development has been burning the midnight oil in the search for a perfect device, which will never happen since people always want something more out of something that is already considered a breakthrough in the information technology world. Who would have thought fifteen years ago that we would have these very sophisticated gadgets today? Apple is up to its neck in making sure that we continue to get upgrades and improvements on what is already innovative and versatile, and an example to this is Apple’s new addition to its many inventions – the Trackpad.
Expect more to come in terms of the merger of the iMac and the iPad in the coming weeks because it really seems that the new designs and enhancements are geared towards that purpose. Minor tweaks here and there are indications that something huge is coming up next and it may just be the iMac/iPad all in one device.
