Whatever comes out first, whether it be product or anything in this world, it automatically becomes the benchmark of all that is going to come out next. Take for instance the iPad. Never a day passes without an article or a news item that deals with the iPad and along comes with it the huge group of other hi tech devices out to shoot down the iPad and make themselves popular in the process. It is not surprising to know that realizing the sensation the iPad has made, a wave of other huge IT conglomerates have racked up their brains, shook their research and development sections, and came up with their own version of tablet devices. The list of companies who joined the tablet production bandwagon includes RIM, HP, and even the giant Microsoft.
Conjectures and rumors abound regarding the capabilities of the incoming tablets some even going through great lengths in hypothesizing as to which tablet will come out the better among all that are rumored to be launched. There are stories circulating that the iPad will be outperformed by the new HP tablet and some tips as to how Microsoft can improve its own tablet version to break Apple’s supremacy of the tablet world. Connected with the tablet competition, Samsung, through its top man Hankil Yoon daringly asserted that the Samsung Galaxy Tablet would immediately get a third of the tablet market as soon as it ships ten million units by the year 2011.
And these bold predictions on capacities and features have gotten people into really contemplating if they should opt for the current iPad trend or just sit out a few bats and wait it out until the new tablets to come out and prove their mettle. This type of competition and battle as to who can come up with the best tablet has made the It scene better for us for the manufacturers would surely want to corner a huge chunk of the buying market and they will only be able to do that if they make significant advancements on their tablets, features that will supersede those of iPad’s. And they have all the reasons in the world to really shape up or ship out since Apple has lead already by so many miles and they have a lot of catching up to do.
It is very obvious that then other big players like Microsoft and the Androids have what it takes to come up with amazing innovations on the tablet arena but until that happens, the iPad is on the lead.
