The millions of fans of the game Farm Ville now have means to continue playing their favorite Facebook feature even without any PC around. Through the new version created by the game’s maker, Zynga, Farm Ville can now be enjoyed even when they are on the go by using their Google Android. The game has captured the hearts of so many Facebook members. In fact, it has been considered as one of the major reasons why the social networking site has grown remarkably and earning huge amounts of revenues through the years. With it on the Android, Google can now have a plus factor in its efforts to edge other mobile internet device manufacturers, especially those of Apple.
All the smartphone manufacturers are increasing their efforts to come up with new and interesting apps. With nearly the same functions and features, they consider the apps as their tickets to claiming leadership in the market. After all, many smartphone owners usually seek out the kind of apps that their preferred units can offer. App developers, on the other hand, know that the smartphone market is a thriving one. This is why there is so much sense in Zynga’s move to introduce Farm Ville and other games into the Google Android user base. Currently, Android is the iPad’s top contender and with its share of the market steadily growing, Zynga’s action may indeed bring great returns.
As of the moment, Zynga has yet to announce the Android titles for its apps. However, what divulges its current efforts are the ads it has posted informing the public that it is interested to hire software engineers who are knowledgeable about Android operating system and environment. Aside from Android, it is also seeking new employees with skills in iPhone app development. Zynga has already asserted its presence in the iPhone user base. It was only this past summer that its CEO, Mark Pincus, introduced the Farm Ville adaptation for the iPhone. With its presence on the iPhone, FarmVille immediately made it to the top 50 most popular apps, a status that it may have achieved especially because it is free.
While Android may claim advantages with Zynga’s apps installed in its system, it is actually the game developer that gains the most. It has already achieved wide acceptance after its Farm Ville iPhone edition was introduced. Now that it is establishing itself in Google’s Android, its influence can only become stronger.
