Apple may lead the apps selling race but definitely another rival has yet to emerge in the techie business. Finally, Google has come into terms in coping up with this tech deal and taking tremendous steps to cover what are left behind from its competitors’ tracks. On the downside, Google faces a turnaround for its Android apps market since users tackle the hassle of entering credit card info or setting up Google Checkout accounts. This is not a good sign for users who are looking for easy means in paying transactions and application developers seeking for greater fortune on their programs.
In fact, an agreement between Google and eBay has oiled up the roughness in the transaction in the Android market. But both parties are not yet satisfied with the checkout system since they are getting closer in settling an arrangement with Paypal according to analysts. It was also reported on Bloomberg last month that there were existing discussions with Google and eBay over adding Paypal on the checkout process with the Android apps. This taken by Google and eBay paves way to an easy payment mode for users on Google Android contending against Apple iTunes established checkout process. However, Google’s extensive effort in making its payment easier has been its greatest struggle, posing Paypal option as the simplest action to solve this dilemma and most tempting offer for would-be-buyers and application developers alike.
On the other side of the apps faction, reports about Amazon developing Android tablets to include in its Kindle family have surfaced recently. This would mean that Google will have to face another tough opponent. If these reports were proven factual, apparently, Amazon might create a stronger and better pay-out system that Google and eBay could put up together.
In contrast to skeptics’ view about Google’s checkout process, Google has taken a big leap in crossing barriers since it has been reported that it would include carrier payments for consumers to add purchases for their Verizon, AT&T and Sprint phone bills. Subscribers for these service providers who are also using Google’s Android will not have a hard time in paying orders in the future.
However, Nielsen analyst Roger Entner posited that with this deal from Paypal may ease out the problems Google is encountering in their payment system. With regard to Google’s partnership with several telecommunication providers, Entner further stressed that it may lighten the difficulties Google is having right now and bring customers closer to their own service providers.
So when deals will be closed and hurdles may be smoothened out concerning Google’s payment process, Google may have a grand kick in this Android apps business.
