AT&T offers a complete range of data and wireless voice services along with WiFi hotspots and wireless internet services. AT&T also offers international coverage which is absolutely incomparable through their global partners.

The main benefit of using AT&T WiFi internet services is that their network is available in 50 different states and there are more than 71,000 Wi Fi hotspots throughout the world. Their services are available at several very well known locations and in chains and restaurants for the existing subscribers. However, the biggest drawback is that the users can only make use of these services 150 times per month which can be a drawback for many. The per session basis charges are quite high.

AT&T Wi-Fi plans

Currently there is only one plan available to AT&T users for a cost of $19.99 every month. This includes unlimited access to all the hotspots, partner hotspots all over the US and even outside US. Those who are already a user of the AT&T high speed can quality for the free basic package which would not cover access to the partner hotspots.

An additional charge of $9.99 would be applicable in order to access it. Users can also choose to pay for per session which can cost anywhere from $3.99 to $7.99 for a single session.

Subscribers can contact the customer service department of AT&T for their Wi-Fi services at any of their retail locations, through email or through the toll free number.
Contract and payment options

Users would need to sign up for a contract of one year in order to be able to use the Wi-Fi service of AT&T. There is no credit check and the payments can be made through their website, through the toll free number and through telephone. Users can also pay through postal mail, auto payment or personally at any of their retail locations.

Though there is unlimited access as claimed by AT&T, usage is only 150 uses every month for the subscribers.

Fees and charges

There is no activation fee to be paid for signing up for the Wi-Fi service but there is a cancellation fee of $20 which would have to be paid by the users. Also, there is no roaming charge applicable.
