Alex Bloom, Vice President of Content & Developer Services, Motricity

Alex Bloom expands on 11 years of wireless experience and six years of mobile content experience with a leading industry carrier to help drive Motricity's position as the leading distributor of mobile content across carrier and media channels. Bloom's responsibilities include overseeing the programming of content and applications delivered via Motricity's market-leading mobile content delivery platform, Fuel, as well as the acquisition and management of content partnerships for Motricity.


Steve Bratt, CEO, W3C

Steve joined the World Wide Web Consortium in January 2002, serving first as COO and now CEO. He has primary responsibility for worldwide operations and outreach, including overall management of Member relations, the W3C Process, the Team, strategic planning, budget, legal matters, external liaisons and major events. Prior to joining the W3C, Steve held leadership and research positions within industry and government, and served on scientific and arms control delegations.


Greg Delagi, Texas Instruments Senior Vice President, General Manager of TI’s Wireless Terminals Business

Greg Delagi is TI senior vice president and general manager of the Wireless Terminals Business Unit, which develops semiconductors for cell phones. TI holds the number one position in wireless semiconductor market share.

Prior to taking over the business in January 2007, Delagi, a 22-year TI veteran, was vice president and manager of the worldwide DSP Systems business unit. During his tenure with TI’s DSP Systems, he led the development and commercialization of digital signal processors (DSPs), one of the company’s core semiconductor technologies and a critical component in the company’s wireless product line. Having joined TI’s DSP operations in 1996, he is also credited with creating TI’s catalog DSP business strategy and organization. TI increased its DSP market share in 2006 for the fifth year in a row to 61 percent of the total DSP market.


Marie-Claire Forgue, Head of European Communications and Business Development, W3C

Marie-Claire Forgue has been involved in W3C's Mobile Web Initiative
since its launch in May 2005. She notably coordinates the marketing and
outreach activities of this W3C activity. Marie-Claire received a Ph.D.
degree in Computer Science from the University of Nice and INRIA,
France. Her research interests were focused on illumination algorithms
and scene modeling in Computer Graphics. She worked at the Dynamic
Graphics Project Lab at the University of Toronto, Canada, and at NTT's
Human Interface Lab, Japan. Marie-Claire joined W3C in January 2001.


Caroline Gabriel, Research Director and Lead Analyst, Rethink Research

Caroline Gabriel co-founded Rethink Research Associates in 2002. John Jackson, Vice President of Enabling Technologies Research, Yankee Group

Jackson is one of the most recognized and respected mobile device analysts in the industry today. Before rejoining Yankee Group, Jackson was most recently with M:Metrics, leading its consulting organization and working closely with the company’s OEM and mobile operator clients. Before M:Metrics, Jackson was the director of Yankee Group’s Wireless/Mobile Technologies Decision Service. Jackson conceived and launched Yankee Group’s Global Mobile Device Tracker/Forecast. His expertise in mobile technology research spans wireless devices and device technologies, including hardware, software, manufacturing and distribution. Jackson also specializes in applications development, delivery platforms and emerging connectivity technologies.


Craig Mathias, Principal and Founder, Farpoint Group

Craig has published numerous technical and overview articles on a variety of topics, is a monthly columnist for Electronic Engineering Times, and a well-known industry analyst and frequent speaker at industry conferences and tradeshows. He is an internationally recognized expert on wireless communications and mobile computing technologies. Farpoint Group is an advisory and systems-integration firm in Ashland, MA.


James Pearce, Vice President of Technology, dotMobi

James Pearce is Vice President of Technology at dotMobi, where he is responsible for domain name technologies, content tools, the company's developer community and applicable open standards. He brings more than 10 years of experience in the mobile technology sector to the dotMobi team. In addition to his work on ensuring the quality of content, Pearce is a mobile standards expert and has worked with a number of standards bodies, including the W3C Mobile Web Best Practices Working Group, which aims to bring a better mobile Internet experience to consumers.


Larry Weber, Chairman and Founder, W2 Group, Inc

Larry Weber is recognized as a visionary in applying technology to the communications field. He is the chairman and founder of W2 Group, Inc. ; a group of global communications companies. Earlier in his career; he started his own public relations company, The Weber Group, in 1987. Weber's personal interest and expertise in adopting technology to drive communications led to his founding of Thunder House, which was one of the first online marketing firms.
